SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 12-4 overall after traveling to Spartanburg Methodist College for the Region 10 Division I semifinal contest with USC Union this afternoon.

 

Tyriq Amos put the Statesmen on the board early in the second minute of the game. Three minutes later, Edgar Jose Reboredo Martins teamed up with Raquan Bryant to put Richard Bland ahead 2-0. The score would remain the same up until the 73rd minute when the Bantams snuck one past keeper, Cristian Rodriguez. With two minutes remaining in regulation, Michael Afful sealed the win for the Statesmen with one of his own to help Richard Bland to a 3-1 victory.

 

With the win, the Statesmen advance to the Region 10 Division I championship tomorrow afternoon, against USC Lancaster.
