Women’s Volleyball Blanks Sea Devils On Sophomore Day

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 12-0 in conference play, 27-3 overall after hosting Cape Fear Community College Saturday afternoon in the final match of the season. Prior to the match, the women's volleyball team recognized sophomores Karagyn Durco, Rylie Harris, Sophia Kaiser, Jordan May, Sydney Phillips, and Hailey Hopkins for their efforts during their time in the green and white.

The Statesmen took down the Sea Devils in three close sets with scores of 25-22, 25-19 and 25-23. Sarah Heath led the attack with 13 kills, followed by Silaulauinasimativa Aoelua with nine. Karagyn Durco added 44 assists and 10 digs on the day, while Rylie Harris recorded 19 digs.

With the win, the Statesmen finish the regular season undefeated and first place heading into the Region 10 tournament. The Region 10 tournament will take place at Wake Technical Community College Friday, October 28^th and Saturday, October 29^th.
