Women’s Volleyball Remains Perfect At Home

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's volleyball team moves to 14-2 overall, 5-0 in conference play after hosting Lenoir Community College this evening in a conference match.

With the sweep tonight, the women's volleyball team has earned their 11^th sweep victory of the season and they remain on top of Region 10 Division II East standings and remain #5 nationally in the NJCAA for the second week in a row.

The Statesmen pushed ahead early tonight and never looked back as they defeated the Lancers 25-11, 25-10 and 25-14. Leilani Goggin led the attack for Richard Bland with 10 kills followed by Sophia Kaiser with eight, and Hailey Hopkins, Sarah Heath, and Silaulauinasimativa Aoelua with seven each. Jadyn Brown pitched in on offense with eight service aces and Karagyn Durco added 34 assists through three sets. Kaiser also added six digs in the win.

The Richard Bland women's volleyball team next hosts Northern Virginia Community College and Louisburg College on Saturday, October 1^st for a home tri match. The action begins at 10am.
