Fields Signs with Virginia State University
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Sasha Fields, a sophomore member of the Richard Bland College women's soccer team has signed to continue her academic and athletic career at NCAA Division II Virginia State University.
The Stafford, Virginia native contributed to much success for the third year program. In year one, the defender/forward was named 2nd Team All-Region and started in all 10 games. Fields was credited with 10 goals and two assists. In year two, Fields was named 3rd Team All-Region and started in all 15 games. She had one goal (game-winning) and one assist from the backline. Fields was credited with 13 shots on goal for the Statesmen.
Fields' presence and leadership on the field will be missed next fall, but her teammates and coaching staff wish her the best of luck moving forward.
Virginia State University is a member of the NCAA Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Sasha will make history this fall as a member of the inaugural Trojan women's soccer team.
