Three Statesmen Tally In Women’s Soccer Defeat

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 3-8 overall, 0-4 in conference play after hosting USC Lancaster Friday afternoon for a key conference matchup.

The Lancers took the lead in the 7^th minute, but the Statesmen added four tallies in a row to pull ahead 4-1. With nine minutes remaining in the first half, the Lancers struck two more times to come within one as Richard Bland held a narrow 4-3 advantage heading into the second half. The Lancers found the back of the net three more times to defeat the Statesmen, 6-4. Lana Hatch had two goals and one assist on the day, and Angie Finnerty and Anna Lee had one goal each. Tiffany Hargett had nine saves through 90 minutes of play between the pipes.

The Richard Bland women's soccer team next travels to USC Salkehatchie on Sunday, October 16^th for a 3pm contest.
