Durco Signs With UNC Pembroke
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Karagyn Durco, a member of the Richard Bland College national champion women's volleyball team, has signed her national letter of intent to continue her academic and athletic career at NCAA Division II UNC Pembroke, beginning fall 2023.
The Rossford, OH native contributed to much success for the sixth year program. Durco spent her first season with Terra State, prior to transferring to Richard Bland for her second season. In her Richard Bland campaign, Durco helped her team boast a 34-3 overall record, 12-0 in conference play. The team defeated Cape Fear Community College in the Region 10 Championship match to earn an automatic bid in the 2022 NJCAA National Tournament.
On the season, she appeared in 124 sets, was credited with 32 kills, 1,442 assists, 97 services aces, 235 digs, and one block. Karagyn was named Region 10 Player of the Year, Division II East Player of the Year, and a NJCAA 1st Team All-American.
UNC Pembroke, located in Pembroke, North Carolina is a Division II member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and Conference Carolinas.
