Track & Field Competes at Battleground Relays

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland outdoor track and field team traveled to Fredericksburg, Virginia this weekend for the Battleground Relays 2023, hosted by the University of Mary Washington.

Haniyyah Johnson topped the leaderboard for Richard Bland with a 1^st place finish in the long jump event.

Women:

Haniyyah Johnson – Long Jump 1^st place – 5.87m

Brooklyn Simmons – Long Jump 2^nd place – 5.48m, Triple Jump 3^rd place – 10.25m

Swayne Clennon – 200M 3^rd place – 25.98

Justice Fox – 400M 11^th place – 1:06.28, 200M 23^rd place – 30.79

Next up for the Richard Bland track and field team is the 2023 Aggie Invitational in Greensboro, NC on Friday, April 7^th. The meet will take place at Truist Stadium.
