Women’s Soccer Downed by Lancers

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team traveled to NJCAA Division I Region 10 foe USC Lancaster Fridayday afternoon for a non-conference match with the Lancers. In the game, the Statesmen lost, 0-4, moving to 2-2-1 overall, 1-0-1 in conference play.

Richard Bland held a 0-0 battle with the Lancers through 22 minutes of play, but in the 23^rd minute, USC Lancaster struck and did not look back. The Lancers tallied again in the 32^nd, 47^th, and 64^th minutes to hold on for a 0-4 victory.

Emily Orn played all 90 minutes in net, and made 17 saves in the game.

The Richard Bland College women's soccer team next hosts Southwest Virginia Community College on Wednesday, September 18^th. Kickoff is slated for 4:30pm.
