Hatch Leads Statesmen to Victory

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 4-8 overall, 1-4 in conference play after traveling to USC Salkehatchie Sunday afternoon for a conference match.

The Statesmen controlled the pace of the game throughout regulation, with 22 total shots on goal coming from seven different players. Lana Hatch got Richard Bland on the board in the 14^th minute off a pass from Hannah Pfleiger. In the 70^th minute, Hatch would draw a foul inside the 18 yard box and capitalize on the penalty kick to increase Richard Bland's lead to two. Tiffany Hargett had three saves on the day in net.

The Richard Bland women's soccer team next travels to CCBC Essex for a non conference contest Tuesday, October 18^th. Kickoff is set for 5pm.
