Women’s Soccer Drops Tight Battle With Hawks

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 2-6 overall after hosting the Hawks of Hagerstown Community College, Sunday afternoon.

The score remained even through 34 minutes of play. The Hawks got on the board first in the 35^th minute and would carry a 1-0 lead into the half. On a long reset ball, Tiffany Hargett found Angie Finnerty to even the score 1-1 in the 71^st minute. The Hawks would add two more goals in the 84^th and 86^th minutes to take a 3-1 lead. In the 88^th minute, Lana Hatch teamed up with Kylie Jackson to bring the Statemen within one in the 88^th minute, but Richard Bland would fall just short in the non conference contest. Tiffany Hargett was credited with eight saves through regulation. 

The Richard Bland women's soccer team next travels to USC Salkehatchie on Saturday, October 1^st for a conference contest.
