SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College women's soccer team moves to 1-4 overall, 0-2 in conference play, after traveling to Wilmington, NC for a rescheduled non-conference contest with Cape Fear Community College.
The Sea Devils took the lead early and would remain on top through regulation. At the end of the first 45 minutes, the Statesmen trailed 0-5. Increasing the offensive swing of things at the beginning of the second half, the Statesmen created multiple opportunities off of corners and 1v1's with the Cape Fear defense but could not get one past the keeper. Lana Hatch had two shots on goal, and Kylie Jackson and Angie Finnerty had one each. Tiffany Hargett had 14 saves through 90 minutes of play between the pipes.
The Richard Bland women's soccer team next travels to USC Lancaster on Friday, September 16th for a 3:30pm conference matchup.
