SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Soccer team moves to 0-3 overall, and 0-2 in conference play after their second conference game of the 2021 season.
The women's soccer team hosted Spartanburg Methodist College in a conference matchup this afternoon.
Spartanburg was the first to add a marker, in the 24th minute. The score remained 0-1 Spartanburg, until Sasha Fields found the back of the net off a restart pass from Amanda-Grace Marshall in the 83rd minute. With the game even, Spartanburg pulled ahead in the last 2 minutes, and would continue on to defeat the Statesmen 2-1 in regulation.
Tiffany Hargett was credited with 14 saves in the loss.
Richard Bland women's soccer next plays Wednesday, September 29th, away vs USC Lancaster at 3:30pm.
