McClure Named to All-Region Honorable Mention Team
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Friday afternoon, the Region 10 Division II Women's Basketball committee announced the All-Region 10 awards for the 2024-25 season. Sophomore guard/small forward, DaNiya McClure was the lone Statesman named to the Region 10 Division II All-Region team.
McClure was an honorable mention team member. She has started 12 of 18 games played, helping the Statesmen to a 6-17 overall, 6-14 conference record, and #8 seed in the Region/South Atlantic District, earning a first-round home game.
Throughout the regular season, DaNiya scored 278 points, grabbed 138 rebounds, tallied 35 assists, 23 steals, and three blocks. McClure averaged 15.4 points per game, and totaled six double-doubles during the regular season. In 18 games played, DaNiya scored double-digit points in all but two, with her best outing of 22 points against Catawba Valley Community College on November 15th.
