Six Statesmen Score Double-Digits In Conference Win
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Basketball team moves to 9-0 overall, 5-0 in conference play after hosting Fayetteville Technical Community College Friday evening.
The Statesmen opened the first quarter outscoring the Titans 29-19 and carried a commanding 59-31 lead into the half. The Statesmen added 31 in the third quarter and concluded the game with a 94-47 conference win at home to remain undefeated.
Six Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the win. Jasmine Norman led the way with 22 points, four assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block. Auzhane Allard had 19 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Courtney Scott chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Lauryn Bell and Natayvia Lipscomb had 11 points each. Bell added seven assists, while Lipscomb added four rebounds. Janiah Jones pitched in with 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals off the bench.
Richard Bland went 80.0% from the charity stripe, 44.6% from the field, and 37.1% at the perimeter.
The Richard Bland College women's basketball team next hosts Guilford Technical Community College on Thursday, December 15th at 6pm.
