Women’s Basketball Dominates Panthers
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Basketball team moves to 7-0 overall, 3-0 in conference play after hosting the NJCAA Division I Denmark Technical College Panthers this evening.
The Statesmen opened the first quarter outscoring the Panthers 32-13 and carried a commanding 46-27 lead into the half. The Statesmen added 25 in the third quarter and concluded the game with a 90-59 win at home to remain undefeated.
Four Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the win. Auzhane Allard led the way for the Statesmen with 21 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals and three blocks. Jasmine Norman pitched in with 20 points, six rebounds, four steals and three assists. Off the bench, Lauryn Bell was credited with 16 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals. Kennedee Matthews had 14 points, three steals, two rebounds, and two assists on the evening.
Richard Bland went 59.4% from the charity stripe, 39.3% from the field, and 20.8% at the perimeter in the win.
The Richard Bland College women's basketball team next travels to Guilford Technical Community College on Monday, December 5th for a conference contest. Tip-off is set for 6pm.
