Women’s Basketball Downs Dolphins At Home

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Basketball team moves to 6-0 overall, 3-0 in conference play after hosting Brunswick Community College Sunday afternoon. 

The Statesmen opened the first quarter outscoring the Dolphins 35-19 and carried a commanding 52-25 lead into the half. The Statesmen more than doubled the points scored of the Dolphins in third quarter and concluded the game with a 98-54 win at home. 

Four Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the win. Auzhane Allard led the way for the Statesmen with her second double-double of the season with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Janiah Jones also tallied her second double-double of the season with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Allard also added three assists, two steals, and one block while Jones added six assists, two steals, and three blocks. Jasmine Norman also pitched in with 25 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Kennedee Matthews tallied 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals in the win.

The Richard Bland College women's basketball team next hosts Denmark Technical College on Saturday, December 3rd at 4pm.
