Allard Tallies Triple-Double To Lead Statesmen To Victory

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Women's Basketball team moves to 3-0 overall, 1-0 in conference play after traveling to Thomas Nelson Community College Saturday afternoon.

 

The Statesmen opened the first quarter outscoring the Gators 36-5 and would not look back. Richard Bland held a 61-19 lead at the half, and would come out victorious, 117-44 at the final buzzer.

 

Six Statesmen scored double-digit figures in the win. Auzhane Allard led the way for the Statesmen with her first triple-double of the season; 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. Allard also chipped in with seven assists. Amira Roy and Janiah Jones added 15 points each off the bench. Roy also had five rebounds and Jones two, in the win. Lauryn Bell and Kennedee Matthews each had 12 points. Bell also added five boards, three assists, and two steals. Courtney Scott chipped in with 11 points, three rebounds, seven assists, five steals, and one block.

 

The Richard Bland College women's basketball team next travels to Virginia State University on Tuesday, November 15th for a 5pm contest with the JV squad.
