SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 9-3 overall, 7-2 in conference play after traveling to USC Sumter Saturday afternoon for a makeup conference contest.

 

Jose David Tejeda Benitez tallied twice in the first half to push the Statesmen past the Fire Ants. In the 16th minute Raquan Bryant and Benitez teamed up to put the green and white ahead 1-0. Benitez' second tally came in the 20th minute and would become the game-winning goal for Richard Bland. Cristian Rodriguez was credited with 10 saves between the pipes through regulation.

 

The Richard Bland men's soccer team next hosts USC Sumter on Tuesday, October 11th at 3pm.
