SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College men's soccer team moves to 4-1 overall, 3-1 in conference play after traveling to USC Lancaster this afternoon.
The Statesmen took an early lead in the 5th minute with an unassisted goal by Duarte Veigas Mendes. That would end up being the lone goal on the day for the Statesmen. The Lancers evened the score, 1-1, in the 24th minute and would tally again with 10 seconds remaining in regulation to hold on for the 2-1 victory. Cristian Rodriguez was credited with eight saves through 90 minutes of play.
The Richard Bland men's soccer team has a quick turnaround and takes on USC Union tomorrow morning in a conference match.
