Wood Commits to Apprentice School

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Eric Wood, a member of the Richard Bland College men's basketball team, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at USCAA Apprentice School.

The Indian Head, Maryland native has contributed to much success for the well-known Statesmen basketball program. In his rookie campaign, Wood started 18 of 28 games played for 564 total minutes played. Wood posted 179 points, going 74-217 from the field, 27-49 at the charity stripe, and 4-35 at the perimeter. Wood tallied 111 rebounds, 37 assists, 12 steals, and six blocks.

In his second year, he started 21 of 29 games played and averaged 23.5 minutes per game. Wood went 83-232 from the field, 30-55 from the charity stripe, and 1-3 from the perimeter averaging 33.3% totaling 199 points. Wood was credited with 181 rebounds, 39 assists, 16 steals, and 10 blocks.

The Apprentice School is located in Newport News, Virginia and is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, and competes in the Eastern Metro Athletic Conference (EMAC).
