Men's Basketball All-Region Team Announced
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary men's basketball team finished the regular season with a record of 12-17 overall, 4-8 in conference play. After their loss to Cape Fear Community College in the final game of the regular season, the men's basketball team was named the #6 seed heading into the Region 10/Atlantic District Tournament this weekend.
Tuesday afternoon, the Region 10 Division I All-Region teams were announced. Martin Kawa has been recognized as 2nd Team All-Region.
Sophomore guard Martin Kawa has started all 29 games this season for a total of 985 minutes. Kawa averages 14.4 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, 41.1 fg%, 28.9 3 pt%, and 68.0 ft%. He has 417 total points, 103 total rebounds, 61 assists, 45 steals, and seven blocks.
Kawa will be a strong driving force for the Statesmen heading into the Region 10/Atlantic District Tournament this weekend.
