Ramsey, Holmes Earn All-Region 10 Honors
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Friday afternoon, the Region 10 Division II Baseball committee announced the All-Region 10 awards for the 2024-25 season. Sophomore outfielder, Jordan Ramsey, and freshman outfielder were the two Statesmen named to the Region 10 Division II All-Region Team.
Ramsey, a Stafford, Virginia native earned Region 10 All-Defensive team as an outfielder for the Statesmen. Ramsey competed in 46 of 47 games this season for Richard Bland. In the field, he earned 101 putouts and three assists, for a 1.000 fielding percentage. At the plate, Ramsey had 55 hits in 171 at bats to include 16 doubles, five home runs, and one triple, for a .322 batting average. He was walked 14 times, hit by pitch 11 times, stole 12 bases, and had 42 runs batted in.
Holmes, a Caroline, Virginia native earned Region 10 East Division 2nd Team honors as an outfielder for the Statesmen. Holmes appeared in 43 of 47 games this season for Richard Bland. In the field, he earned 87 putouts and two assists, for a .978 fielding percentage. At the plate, Myles had 58 hits in 162 at bats to include 12 home runs, 10 doubles, and two triples, with 41 runs batted in, for a .358 batting average. He was also walked 12 times, hit by pitched 18 times, and stole 19 bases.
Jordan and Myles were key pieces for the Statesmen, helping the team to the most wins in a season in program history, with 23. The Statesmen finished 23-24 overall, and 14-20 in conference play.
