Guerra Commits To Bluefield University
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – Nick Guerra, a member of the Richard Bland College 2nd year baseball team, has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at NAIA Division I Bluefield University, beginning fall 2023.
The Falls Church, VA native has contributed to much success for the second year program. In his rookie campaign, Guerra played in 41 games with 149 at bats. He was credited with 42 hits including 11 doubles and two home runs for a .282 batting average, .365 on base percentage, and .396 slugging percentage. He was also walked 14 times, had two stolen bases, and added 32 rbi. In the field, he had 65 total catches, 35 putouts, 20 assists, and one double play for a .846 fielding percentage.
In year two, Guerra played in 34 games with 127 plate appearances. He was credited with 44 hits including five doubles and five home runs for a .346 batting average, .401 on base percentage, and .504 slugging percentage. He was also walked five times, had four stolen bases, and added 28 rbi. In the field, he had 90 total catches, 29 putouts, 49 assists, and seven double plays for a .857 fielding percentage.
Bluefield University is located in Bluefield, Virginia and is a private, Division I member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Appalachian Athletic Conference.
