Barber Delivers Four Runs In Loss To Fayetteville Tech

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William and Mary Baseball team moves to 6-15 in conference, 8-17 overall hosting a single game against Fayetteville Technical Community College Wednesday evening.

 

Dylan Barber drove in four runs, but it wasn't enough as the Statesmen fell to Fayetteville Tech 13-6 on Wednesday. Barber drove in runs on a home run in the first and a home run in the third. Richard Bland collected 11 hits and Fayetteville Tech had 15 in the high scoring affair. Richard Bland opened up scoring in the first inning. Rixon Webb singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. Roman Borders took the loss for Richard Bland. The bulldog lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing three hits and three runs while walking zero. Carson Pardue started the game for Richard Bland. The hurler lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out one and walking zero. Barber, Webb, and Wade Clements all had multiple hits for Richard Bland. Barber led the Statesmen with three hits in five at bats.

 

Richard Bland baseball next hosts Lenoir Community College in a conference doubleheader on Saturday, March 9th. First pitch is set for 1pm.
