Hodgkin's Lymphoma Awareness Day
Tiffany Hedge played in six games this season before being diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's Lymphoma in February. She was expected to be an impact player for the Statesmen this season. A gofundme page, linked below, has been established and all money raised will go toward helping Tiff pay for her medical bills.
Richard Bland will travel to play a single game on the road at Region 10 member Pitt (N.C.) Community College next Monday, April 24 at 3 p.m. in Winterville, North Carolina. It's a re-scheduled contest from April 5 that was rained out in Carolina. The Statesmen return home to welcome Region 10 opponent Wake Technical (N.C.) Community College for a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 26 at 5 p.m. at the RBC Softball Field on Sophomore Day for the program. It's the regular-season finale, as well, ahead of the Region 10 Tournament scheduled for May 5-6 at Springwood Park in Burlington, North Carolina.
